Sept. 24-25 ~ South Florida was under a hurricane warning due the approaching Hurricane Georges. Both games were postponed in advance of the storm as the storm was expected to bring hurricane winds, heavy rains and possible tornadoes. Both games between the Marlins and Philies were played in back-to-back doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday to end the 1998 season for both clubs.
