May 1 ~ More violence erupted in cities around the country as 32 people are now dead in the city of Los Angeles. The civil unrest and riots spread to other cities including Atlanta and San Francisco. Both games in Los Angeles and San Francisco were postponed due to violence and because of a state of emergency that now exists in both cities as President Bush called up the national guard to put an end to the violence.
